Self Assessment, filed early and done right
No January panic, no scrambling for receipts, no guessing what you can claim. We file your return properly and early – so you know what you owe well before the deadline, not the night before it.
WHO THIS IS FOR
Sole trader, landlord, or just started earning extra
If you're self-employed
Freelancing, contracting, running a small business – if you’re not on PAYE, you need to file. We work out what you can genuinely claim as expenses, so you’re not overpaying or under-claiming.
If you're a landlord
Rental income needs declaring whether it’s one flat or a portfolio. We handle allowable expenses, mortgage interest relief and make sure your return reflects what you actually owe – not more.
WHAT’S INCLUDED
Everything your return needs
Expenses claimed properly
We know what’s genuinely allowable and what isn’t – so you claim everything you’re entitled to without risking a query from HMRC.
Filed early, not late
We aim to have your return done well before the January deadline, so you know what you owe in time to actually plan for it.
No January panic
Send us your records when you have them. We chase you gently through the year, not in a last-minute scramble.

QUESTIONS
Before you ask
Do I actually need to file a Self Assessment?
If you’re self-employed, a landlord, earn over £100,000, or have income HMRC doesn’t already tax at source, generally yes. If you’re not sure, ask us – it’s a five-minute conversation to find out.
What can I actually claim as an expense?
It depends entirely on your situation, but common ones include a portion of home costs if you work from home, mileage, equipment, and professional fees. We go through it properly rather than guessing.
What happens if I file late?
An automatic £100 penalty applies the day after the deadline, even if you owe nothing. It gets worse the longer it runs. Filing early avoids this entirely.
I've never filed before — is that a problem?
Not at all. We register you with HMRC if you’re not already set up, and walk you through what we need. Most first-time filers find it far less painful than they expected.
Can you take over from my current accountant?
Yes. We handle the switch directly with them, so there’s no gap in your filing history.
What if my income changes a lot year to year?
That’s normal for self-employed people and landlords. We ask each year what’s changed rather than assuming — so nothing’s missed and nothing’s claimed that shouldn’t be.
